This role is responsible for providing overall mentorship regarding architecture, strategies and techniques for the CPQ and billing product solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Technical design and implementation of Quote to Cash solutions using Salesforce CPQ and billing
Create proof of concepts (POCs) and build prototypes quickly to evaluate the mapping of custom CPQ functionality to Salesforce CPQ
Design application architecture solutions that span multiple Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Analytics, Social, Communities) that meet business requirements
Be recognized as a technical & functional specialist in CPQ and Billing
Optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
Pro-actively identify opportunities for automation, process & design improvements
Serve as a Lead developer to ensure deliverables for Salesforce.com projects are done in line with best practices and strategic platform direction
Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.
Oversight of multiple vendors involved with Salesforce configuration and development work
Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance, including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling
Communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams including business teams, product teams, global IT Apps teams, consultants & vendor
Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions. Present complex solutions options and benefits to key technical program stakeholders.
Collaborate with Salesforce technical team to ensure Salesforce development teams follow best practices when architecting, programming or documenting solutions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.
Required Capabilities
4+ years of practical experience in Salesforce CPQ Implementation.
Good Experience in implementing Hi-Tech CPQ Projects
2+ full cycle implementations of Salesforce CPQ and billing solutions including ownership of technical solution design
Proficiency in various CPQ functionalities like perpetual and subscription-based licensing, seasonal licensing, amendments, extensions, co-terming and renewals
Solid experience in data migration strategy, tools and processes to migrate data between custom CPQ and billing systems to Salesforce CPQ and billing
Experience with quote document generation and integration with DocuSign
Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
Understanding of QCP and be able to do basic scripting
